I am a young, emerging writer working in the YA, sci-fi/fantasy genre, working on pubilshing my first novel (the first of 6 books).
Currently I live and work in Brisbane, Australia as an admin, nothing fancy, just filing and scanning, (but hey, it pays the bills) while writing in my spare time between work and uni. I'm hoping to share my short story work and writing style through my new blog -
jhmitchell.com - in which I explore the various aspects of an emerging writer's life.
Reading is something I enjoy, and I've been attempting to branch out from my usual genre selection. I'm starting with King, and have so far enjoyed Misery and The Green Mile (also a favourite movie of mine), and would love any suggestions.
I'm opinionated, but also open minded and willing to explore different ideas (I love a good informal debate between friends), and I also have a strong belief of basic human rights. We're all human, therefore we all deserve the same treatment, right?
